Lumpy Idle On Start-Up

Had a look using the search facility, and a few of them point towards EGR valves or Air Flow Sensors, but ive blanked the AGR's and have a new sensor.

The car on start-up, for the first few minutes is very lumpy when ticking over when I'm stationary (stuck in traffic). The car idles at just above 750rpm, and I can see the rev counter rising to about 850, then dropping back down again repeatedly. You can also physically feel the car ticking over during this period, as of the engine is rocking with the idling, not massively, but enough that you know it shouldn't be doing it!

The car drives fine during this initial period, its just when ticking over in traffic. Once warm the car drives great and idles fine.

Only seems to have started in the last few weeks with the weather getting colder.

Help & suggestions appreciated!! Thumbs Up 2006 HSE for Sale - £7,499 (Manchester)

Throttle body seal / Air flow meter seal, I only say this since I thought you had just had a replacement. In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures

Unfortunately that sounds as tho is could be a fuel injector on its way, they are more noticable when cold.
I would get the return flow checked and a quantity comparison done.
If it is an injector, I would try a dae engine treatment, Google it it may link to my website.

I have used many at work and even on my own Rrs. If manged to bring one of my Injectors back from the dead. And also on many of our customers cars. The only time it dose t work is if the injector is contaminated with metal from the pump.

If you require any further info drop me a pm.

affraid not, they only really show fault codes when the electronics go bad or the smooth running evaluation maxes out.
Injector contamination is comman fault on all tdv6's.
Like I say it may not be to bad we have had a few tdv6's with similar faults and have some really good results with the fuel treatment.
You have got nothing to lose.

Always worth getting it checked by some one local who knows what they are doing tho just in case we are barking up the wrong tree.

Check temp sensors, including oil temp sensor.
Clean MAP sensor, do NOT poke anything inside it, just wash it out with WD40 etc
Could be crappy fuel, whip fuel filter off and check it it has any water in it. In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures

If you are unable to sort the issue yourself, then it may be worth getting hold of Mick (Flack on these Forums) he is based in Preston, so not that far from you. Anyway no harm in sending him a PM In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
