Hi, I have always admired the RRS and am thinking of taking the plunge and buying a 2006 or 2007 diesel, is there any advice you can give me , or is there anything to be avoided in choosing one?

Hello Jimmy I have a 2007 2.7 RR Sport and have had it for 4 years now. Now done 89 thousand miles and I Love it! OK Road tax a bit high but worth it in my book. The car does everything that I ask of it and tows a caravan on regular occasions. I have not had any issues with the car other than faulty tailgate switch throwing up a transmission fault, which took the local RR dealer 3 goes to find. A suspension fault ( cured with a new brake light switch - thank you RRsport forum. 20 minute DIY job) new brake discs and pads all round and a new alternator was required 1 year ago, again a DIY job, although these are items that will be required on any vehicle of this age. I think that I now need to service the suspension compressor and it will need a cam and fuel pump belt replacement soon. As long as you get one that has been looked after it should be ok. Dive in. Good hunting. Raecropwalker |

Bloody hell, that's amazing. That's about 28 mpg. I'm averaging about 12. |
