England 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey
New battery experience

Car would not start yesterday flat battery, I called Land Rover Assist and a very friendly technician came out tested my battery and advised me I needed a new one.
He jumped started my car and suggested he followed me to Halfords, he negotiated a battery with the store manager at a discounted price, fitted it and took away my old one.

Well done Land Rover Assist, very impressed. 3.0 HSE RRS Stornaway (current)

I bet he got the discount because Assist is provided by the AA and they probably have a deal already in place.

It's good when these systems work in our favour Thumbs Up I was impressed by Assist when they picked up my RRS after it blew its turbos. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

If a replacement battery is purchased from a dealer they offer the new "glass style" types, these are designed for the new stop start engines, and cost about £250.
Halfords do an equivalent one for £179, but Assist guy said I only need what was originally fitted, one from Halfords with a 3 year Guarantee £82.
Happy days. 3.0 HSE RRS Stornaway (current)
