differance in compressors

i got another compressor to fit and its got a external filter where the pipe should go, could anybody please help

That is a compressor from a FFRR. Will not fit your RRS properly, different fittings...

    First thing wiring
    RRS one is male plug FFRR is female (corresponding wires are same color so if you wish you can use old compressor as donor) make sure you make it as long as possible to be able to connect to the car

    other thing is that brass silencer
    what i am doing is :
    i am removing it together with its threaded ring and instead
    i am fitting half of the connector used to repair air hoses (i would not know the proper name for it)
    matching diameter of the bigger pipe on the car (10mm if i recall correctly)

    i bought 3 bits today , 1st bit replaces the exhaust thing, 2nd bit pushes onto it and 3rd bit connects to that so you can push the 10 mm pipe in ,total cost 5 quid so just need to cut connector off
