Ha ha Gary. Do you know what's also funny, when you go to photo forums they complain about how expensive camera gear is. Well, it seems they haven't discovered this forum yet Laughing

What's the mm's in that Sony (35mm equivalent). Tried quickly to look for it but couldn't find that info.

I'm still using my Minolta XG "cant be bothered to check the number" but still a brill camera and over 20 years old, the Soney I bought in the US last year and is a great little piece of kit? the DSLR I mentioned earlier belongs to a frien of mine and I have to have one? after the mods to the RRS?

The focal range of the W100's lens is 7.9 - 23.7 mm, which is equivalent to 38 - 114 mm.

Is that it ??

38mm is not that wide but certainly wide enough for taking a close up pics of cars.

I have a Nikon D70 with a 18-70 and 70-300 zoom lens - you can get great deals online at the moment. If this looks too expensive, then the D50 is still a great model too.

Yes, and they are getting cheaper. The Canon XT/350D is one heck of a camera, and not that expensive either. Give it a look. I don't have it but judgeding from the sensor it has it's a great camera.

If you are researching, which I recommend, I have the Canon 20D and 5D.

Tell me about it! I still feel the pain in my shoulder for photographing the event today. I was carrying the 20D w/ 70-200 f4, 5D w/ 24-70 f2.8 and two other lenses in the bag. Glad I didn't bring the 100-400 L.
