Hello, poor little Westie, our Betsy is always scratching her face maybe it could be a scratch or could it possibly be a cataract.

Vet is talking about sending her to eye specialist near Wakefield if no improvement soon (he thinks he will probably stitch the lid lining over the eye) but would like to do everything possible first to avoid such drastic action

Shame about yer wee dug he looks a right wee character. Rescue dogs are the best, both of mine are, ones 12yr old and wee got the lurcher to keep him company about 18 months ago.

Most of the time they were curled up in the basket together but then a few times a day they went berserk with teeth and claws out - all in the name of fun I'm sure but the vet bills for the Westie over the last few weeks and the possibility she may lose the eye my nerves couldn't take anymore

Just returned from trip to eye specialist - left 7am this morning, 2 hours drive each way and £500 for operation
