Roadhawk HD - Any experiences?

Hi Guys,

I am contemplating getting a pair of Roadhawk's (HD & 720) for front and rear facing video.
I know quite a few people have posted experience of the Blackvue ones - but has anybody fitted one of these to their RRS.

I'm a total novice at ICE and was after some guidance on people's experience fitting them. I'd prefer them to be hardwired, but I am a little nervous about doing it myself!

Cheers!

Road Hawk HD

MY13(October)
Had the Road Hawk Hd for a while now.
I use it in 1080, definition is very good, don't use the events recording just continuous.
Even set on on the lowest setting it was triggering an event all the time with the rural roads around here.
Also I don't record audio
GPS does take a while to connect, but once found quickly reconnects after
As to wiring you can get the kit to hard wire from Road Hawk but I just used the ample supplied cable running it up to the headlining above the windscreen to the left pillar and along the top left then down to the aux 12volt socket in the
boot which is ignition on thus leaving the front socket free,I know it would be better to hard wire but couldn't be doing with the hassle .

United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

We've had Roadhawk HD's fitted to the front of both our D3 and FL2 for a couple of months now. Haven't tried posting any of the videos as yet, but the quality is excellent.

Ours aren't hard wired, but like mf6460 have run the cable under the headlining and down the A pillar to the aux socket. We don't pick up our RRS for a day or two but will fit the Roadhawk as soon as we get the car.

On the D3 we had to fit the GPS remote antenna to the roof rail and run the wire down the door pillar as we couldn't pick up the GPS signal but this wasn't necessary on the FL2 as it seemed to pick up the GPS signal quickly. Will see what happens with the RRS and report back. 2014 Autobiography Dynamic
