This is going to cause a stir. but !!

I know it's a range rover. And I know it's a cruiser. But after writing on a post on here the other day that there's not a day goes by I don't think about selling the rrs and buying something fast and loud again, I wanna cut the middle box out and de cat the rrs. I have already took the rear boxes out when I done me exhaust tips but I just want more lol.
I got her up on the ramp the other day and measured pipe 60mm into box and 2x 50 mm out. Problem I've got is i can't find any Y pieces that are 60 in and 50 out. Has anyone done this? I don't wanna have to buy Y piece and 2 reducers unless I have to. Not for cost so much that it'll look crap. I will be doing the welding etc myself by the way.

It's a diesel and its a 55 plate. Don't think it matters ? Could be wrong though.

Lot of work for not much gain. It's turbo so isn't going to sound loud. I removed my rear boxes too and the car was plenty loud enough. I then removed centre section to have a look and started the car whilst box was off. It sounded the same with and without centre box. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈
Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱
Lots of other toys in the cupboard...😜

I've been threatening the rrs for a while now with replacement. And it doesn't seem to make any difference so I keep spending money on it hoping its gonna make me want it more. Similar situation with the wife.

You're driving an early 2.7 and you're blaming the vehicle for being "not enough"? Shocked Why don't you get one with some more cylinders? The 4.2 S/C has plenty of go with V8 rumble (especially if you remove the rear boxes). The TDV8 has enough go for most occasions and also has a V8 rumble which is also increased by removing the rear boxes. Both can be mapped (as can the 2.7 of course) for even more go if required. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I have considered a tdv8 or even a supercharged. Wondering what mine is worth, low miles 58 thousand java black very clean 22" super sport reps ?? Prob could get in a tdv8 or charged for not much more money. I do like my tax bracket tho but not the end of the world to pay a bit more.

I don't understand the low tax issue - these things cost over £100 to fill the tank. Do any sort of mileage and the fuel cost outweighs the tax difference by some margin. For £200pa I'd rather have an RRS that goes properly...and no matter what you do to the V6, it'll never sound as good as one of the V8 varieties! 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
