Is it leaking anything? Have seen the injector leak off pipes fall out, and the diesel hits the hot exhaust underneath, causing smoke... |

From the wheel it's very hard to see it.. Is it normal that if the car running and you pull the dipstick out for there to be smoke coming from there ? Should the oil be that hot? |

It can be normal, but it can be an indicator of a head gasket/piston failure, but to be honest it's difficult to tell from what you describe.

Just checked the oil level and its just above the min amount.. could that be the reason? the dipstick was strange as one side says its above min but the side with the dots show it just above min...

When did you last fill it. Fill it up and make sure it's not using oil

If you have a dip stick then that's what you go off.

Engine should be warm when checking oil level. 10,000 miles without checking Monthly at least. |
