2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Santorini Black
Reasonable price for following work.

I'm new to the forum, so Hello.

I own a RRS 2005 2.7 TD and have read experienced a lot of symptoms that other users have spoke about. The usual Torque converter shudder being one. Rather than sell the RR I decided to bite the bullet and try to fix the problem. Its too soon to say if replacing the TC has cured the shudder, its not doing it at the moment but time will tell.

I had the following work carried out for approx £3.4k and wondered if the price was reasonable;

Auto Transmission torque converter assembly
Transmission oil
Pair front lower suspension wishbone assemblies + Bolts and lock nuts.
Pair front wheel bearing kits
Pair front brake discs
Brake clean and high temp anti friction compound
Front Brake pad set
Front brake pad wear lead
Locktite lock and seal blister
Pair front hub locking nuts
Fuel Filter
Forte advanced fuel cleaning additive
Wheel alignment

Hi Paul, i'm sorry i wouldn't have a clue on the price of the work you have had done, but well done for sticking with your sport, they are great motors when they are running right.
Oh, and welcome to the site. Thumbs Up

I could hazard a guess at all those costs apart from "Pair front lower suspension wishbone assemblies + Bolts and lock nuts. " Presume that was the bulk of the cost?

Was it a Land Rover Dealership?

I'd have thought that the torque converter was the main part cost - about a grand. Seems expensive - how many hours labour at what rate?

I was quoted just under £900 by a dealer to do the front lower wishbones on mine so all of that for £3.4k doesn't sound overly silly. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
