No competent dealer in Sweden?

Apperantly there are no garages in Sweden that is competent enough to satisfy a swedish range rover owner. Everywhere I look i find complete ignorance. I have just installed a pair of LED DRL lights and contacted My nearest dealer to make them deactivate the automatic headlights. A quite simple task I thought but according to the guy I talken to it was something verk complicated that probably involved sending various computers in the car away for reprograming. I realy didn't think it would be such a complicated job to do as the usermanual refer to the dealer for this task. Could any swedish members recomend a garage that actually knows what a Range Rover is? I suppose there is no orter way to deactivate the automatic headlights?!? Not any fuse that would do the trick?

Hello mate,

Sorry I can't help you find a decent garage, however have you considered buying a diagnostic tool that will allow you to do this yourself?

There is the faultmate by Black Box Solutions and also the IIDTool by GAP Diagnostic. Both companies are active on this forum, so might be worth dropping them a PM and seeing if their tools can do what you need them to do?

Hi Edward.

That is pure "B-S" from the dealer..
You don´t have to send anything for reprogramming, it´s easily done with the
diagnostic tool.

Brother has a Disco 3, and had automatic headlight on, and we deactivated it with a faultmate.

I had my RRS serviced by Autoropa, Lidingö, and they had no problems with enabling "auto headlights on"
but I declined, better to turn them on by myself, and better if You are standing idling, without
advertising that the car is running.

If You are the sort of person that does things on the car, servicing and so, I´d recommend either a IID-tool
Faultmate or similar.

There are, as the precious writer wrote, several of the companies active here.

Best regards
