Did mine this afternoon Very Happy
Took about 2 hours, but could have been quicker had a not had to retap a thread... Evil or Very Mad Embarassed

A couple of tips:

On the drivers side of the car there is a large plastic cover, removing this will allow you to get to EGR flange bolts with a long socket extension. Had I done this before I may have put the bolt back in straight... I also undid the U clamp that holds the 2 adjacent pipes tight, allowing them to be pushed out of the way slightly.
There is a similar U clamp holding a single pipe next to the passenger side EGR flange bolts allowing the pipe to be moved.

To remove the spindle from the EGR butterfly valve I didn't use a screwdriver as per the instructions as it all looked a bit delicate... Instead a gripped the large plastic end of the spindle with a pair of slip joints and pulled like ****. Beware as it comes out all of a sudden and you need to be holding onto the butterfly when the spindle comes out.

Finally, it would be worth ordering 4 new EGR flange bolts. I was left hunting around to replace one that had corroded about 25% through...

Has it worked? I've lost the hesitation on pull away. It feels quicker (I think Confused ). I'm hoping to improve my mpg to about 40 mpg... Whistle

Unless your EGR valves are already faulty, your car will be no quicker than before.

Finally got round to fitting my blanking kit today. Took me a good hour to hour and a half.
Thanks for the pointers they come in handy that butterfly shaft is a Censored to get out.

Don't think I'm going to notice any difference tho.
Look what I found when I was doing it today

I think replacing the intercooler pipe will sort things out.
I've heard these spit for a past time so it was no surprise.
Would anyone recommend a aftermarket one or stick with genuine. Looks a nasty job to do as well. Evil or Very Mad[/img]

Can't see the image mitch, but I assume you have a split intercooler hose, drivers side.

They're actually pretty easy to do. Biggest pain is to get the plastic pins put from the lower radiator shroud in the wheel arch.

Undo each end and pop off the pipe and feed it out the top.
You can get silicon replacement hoses, but TBH the LR ones last 5+years anyway and are cheaper Thumbs Up Bodsys Brake Bible

Click on the blue <img> in the post and it will magically appear. Has a split in the pipe.
