If you're lucky, it'll just be a split in the intercooler hose - new OEM one is about £50 or an upgraded silicone one that'll last longer from Bell Automotive (site sponsor) for around £100. |

REVs fine when stationary, no issues.

Revving fine when stationary is no indication that all is well, when the car is running at speed, the ECU takes all sorts of input such as load on engine, intake air temps, fuel temperature, and plenty more to make a decision on how much fuel to inject and maybe how much boost to allow into the engine. So the parameters for fuelling will be wildly different on the run and a split hose would not manifest itself much when stationary but would show up on a run. "Roads ? Where we're going there are no roads." Back to the future. |

Very little fuel draw when reved stationary so not a test for restricted fuel supply.
