Fully Laden RRS

I'm sure that not everyone uses the load carrying capability of their RRSs but...

Took a couple of feet off a hedge on saturday & left with untold amounts of twigs/leaves/hedge to dispose of. Started to bag it but really painstaking/tedious, so just got a plastic sheet, put the rear seats down & filled up the back of the RRS Smile

Then drove down to Lewisham municipal recycling centre fully expecting to be the only RRS they'd see all day but as I turned up, there was another just leaving!

Excellent load carrying capacity - made 2 trips with hedge and another trip with the back completely full of rubbish from garage/garden shed (wood, metal, rubble, plastic, bits of furniture etc). Another bonus is that it is probably the biggest thing that would get through their gates without being charged for - no vans allowed.

And I was sure glad of the a/c after humping all that stuff in & out Cool

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

I took a tonne of "soil" to our local recycling centre in the horse trailer. 30 bags at c.35kg each was hard work as each one had to be carried in and out of the trailer and then lifted to empty in to a skip.

Like you, I was glad of the air con after that...

The RRS is a great towing vehicle - a couple of tonnes on the back it hardly notices! Thumbs Up 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Having recently moved house and being far to tight to hire a skip Whistle , I did a fair few trips to the local 'recycling center' in my RRS, and agree, I was amazed how much I could cram in there. Thumbs Up

Cheeky fCensoredr of a 'worker' there did comment, "can't you f'in afford a skip mate with a car like that", he then asked me for a job when I told him that the RRS was just the equivalent of my 'white van' to run around in Rolling with laughter..................little did he know he was right the first time Whistle ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i
