I met the guy who runs Brit insurance just after they announced their sponsorship of the England Cricket team - nice chap, very ambitious! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

I spoke to LRI when I changed my car in Jan this year and LR Insurance was already with a different company than Royal Sun Alliance and their quote was way more expensive!!! (I'm sure I posted something on the forum to this effect at the time) I therefore contacted RSA and they told me that as I was an existing client they could still offer me the Land Rover Insurance Package and that it was only new clients that HAD to go with the new provider. If I didn't move my cover then I would continue to be insured under Land Rover Insurance with all the benefits that came with that policy. To date I have not had anything to tell me otherwise so I suspect that what you are reffering to ONLY applies to policies taken out now. All my policy docs are on LR Insurance paper.

I took my policy out in October last year and it was Brit insure then. They covered my car fine without a tracker even when I switched to the TDV8. WINNER - 2009 ‘Just Doing What It’s Designed To Do’ Award

Just off the phone to the Royal and Sun Alliance LRI and they are still kicking but only covering existing clients of LRI, no new business. I was re-insured for my Defender with them and they were able to quote me for the

if you have your current RRS with LR/RSA and renew the policy, can they still not do a change of vehicle on the policy, keeping your dad on etc etc when you swap the car? |

Nick I renewed my RRS policy in March with RSA/LRI for the new car they want an additional premium to the end of the year of £36. It's still a no brainer to change the car on the RRS policy rather than start afresh with a new company who want >£200 to start on a Stratstone Policy. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Exactly the point I was making! This now raises the question as to WHY Land Rover Insurance have switched to a company that offers their customers a more expensive policy offering less cover Me thinks perhaps LR get a better Kick Back than they did from RSA...... Yet another way of ripping off the client Or am I just too cynical 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black 2013 Evoque 5 Door Pure Tech SD4 - Orkney Grey with Panoramic Roof (Mrs E's new baby) GONE - RRS - 3.0 TDV6 HSE - Santorini (2010) GONE - RRS - 2.7 TDV6 HSE - Java Black (2007) GONE - Porsche Boxster S - 3.2 - Black |
