Fitting an aftermarket stereo

I have done a quick search and can't find the answer I need.

My standard RRS multichanger stereo is foobarred and I have a lovely new Alpine head unit that I took out of the missus car.

Can anyone confirm if you can use an aftermarket stereo in a 2006 RRS. I have looked on Ebay for the fascia adaptor and lead adaptors and one of the listings says that the Sport has fibre optic cables that are not compatible unless you rewire the speakers Shocked (I had this exact problem in my Porka -DOH!)

Any advice would be gratefully received. Thanks Thumbs Up RRS HSE TDV6 2006 - current wagon
