11 VERY Annoying beeps with ignition on!

Hi Guys/Girls,

I've finally got my 3.6 TDV8 in Silver with Alpaca interior.

I'm happy as heck apart from 11 high pitched beeps/squeaks when you put the ignition on/start.

There are no warnings showing and It's just been through Landrover for a thorough check and passed 'A' Ok.

Am I just doing something wrong?!

Are you leaving anything heavy on the passenger seat? Sounds like it could be the seat belt warning gongs. Also look in the info centre, if there is a little i then press the button on the end of the info stalk to see if it has remembered a warning.
The other thing is it could have been fitted with a Land Rover Track tracking system and you have not been given the dongle, somebody somewhere will be getting a phone call asking if they have had their car stolen! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Thanks Tim,

It's more of a high pitched beep and different to the seat belt warning 'gong'.

When you talk about the info centre are we talking the centre sat nav area or the dash mileage/trip computer area?

It is fitted with a Land Rover tracking system but it hasnt been subscribed for a fair while.

I usually have a lecture every time i leave my girlfriend in the car, due to leaving the keys in the ignition with the door not fully shut.... it makes the worst beeping noice possible!

Just an idea incase you like to start the car before you shut the door Laughing

I think that you will find that even though the LRTrack isn't subscribed to you will still get an audible warning to insert the dongle thing.

The info screen is the one in the centre of the dash between the speedo and tacho 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Tim spot on - I've rung Landrover Watch and they are trying to send software down to cancel the noise.

If that doesnt work they sugest cutting the speaker wire!

They also advised the original company that fitted the watch system into Landrovers went bust 6 weeks ago
along with the secret location of the units!

Glad to be of assistance! I bet if you asked the local car thieves they would know where the "secret" location of the transponder is! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
