Facelift 3.0 TDV6 HSE in Bali Blue

New to the forum! Bought it about a month ago from Farnell Leeds, 1 previous owner which was Land Rover Management.

My previous car was an Audi S3 so this is a complete change for me but i absolutely love it! The new engine is quite pokey aswell. Its standard HSE spec apart from Privacy glass. Booking in for colour coding next week. Only other mod ill do is maybe 22 inch wheels but unsure on which 1s yet!

Sorry for the poor quality phone pic! only one i have at the minute, not got round to taking some proper ones. Its from the day i picked it up!

Welcome and congratulations. I saw that car during a visit to look at colours for myself they also had one in at about the same time same colour colour coded. i also saw your S3 sat on the forcourt the week after or so....

Farnells use a paint shop on leeds Road outwood. they did tell me the name but I have forgotten.

I desparately want mine colour coding, I just need to save a bit more and then its off to Overfinch for the full works (external)

Thanks! Im using a bodyshop in Brighouse called Impact, all the overfinch cars from autobrokers in Birstall go through them, there was about 5 in gettin done last time i was down! Ive used them in the past on my previous cars, I can highly recommend if your after it colour coding! I would love the overfinch kit but just going to get it colour coded at the minute. Just need to decide on some wheels!

Did you get your RRS from Farnell's?

I like the Bali blue in your photograph. Does it change colour depending on the light? I'll be interested to how it looks with colour coding - so that is bumper areas, A posts / B posts, and body / door moldings, and door handles too? L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso
RRS TDV6 HSE Lux (MY2011)... Nara Bronze / Arabica - now gone!

Yes in the sunlight it appears a lot more purple and you can really see the flake in the paint. I really like the colour. Yes ill be getting front and rear bumpers, bottoms of the doors, door handles, grill surround and lower half of the door mirrors done. Im going to leave the A and B posts i like the look of the floating roof.

welcome johnhampton,

personally i would only get the bottom corners of the front bumpers, door handles and the wing vents done, this makes the airdam look deeper, too much paint on the other bits makes it look slab sided, imho, grat colour though Thumbs Up
cheers

yes im only getting the bottom corners of the front bumper done. I think it looks quite mean with the black in the centre. Im undecided what to do about the grill surround, whether to do it same colour as the car or black.

Welcome John.

Black grille surround would look good, or even white!

Only wheels to go for are 22" Overfinch Supersports with red calipers

How much did you have to part with to get that lovely car! I have just had mine serviced after owning it for a year, seems a little smoother now!
