Doea anyone knows how to remove the top dash panel on a 2006 RRS?

No not the bit below sat nav unit but the entire top of the dash board

It doesn't separate like the FFRR, the whole dash has to come out. I asked a leather trimmer about trimming just the top thinking it would undo and he told me it wont. A few others have confirmed that aswell.
