It's all snow! obviously the roadside snow was a bit higher than the surrounding snow due to the plough but this was the clearest part of the road. A lot of the road was still covered in about 3-4 inches of semi frozen slushy snow and rutted ice...... Pic from Cairngorm ski road last year and that road had been snow blown rather than ploughed so shows actual depth. Suspect will be he same at the mo.

You get an idea of the depth from the armco barrier height on the right, easily higher than the D3. Don't know what it's like this year as hiding from all that snow stuff in Cobham! Have Virgin box tuned to Beeb Scotland so can see what we are missing! |
