Engine system fault

Hi folks,

A friend of mine who still has not signed upto the forum has had a problem with his RRS 3.6tdv8, its on a 58 plate when driving today the dashboard info screen showed ENGINE SYSTEM FAULT for a couple of seconds then went away.

The revs dropped and the vehicle started driving normal again. No lights or other warnings appeared on the dash board when this happened.

He drove the vehicle home and left it for an hour then took it out again onto the motorway upto speeds of 90mph and everything seemed ok.

His other concern is that the vehicle is idling at only 600rpm and 700rpm, he is not sure if this is the correct idling speed because he has never noticed it before.

Any help would be highly appreciated, he said that he will also make a donation to the site for any recommendations before he takes it to LPR.

Thanks in advance. Thumbs Up TDV8 HST STORNOWAY ON A 58
