2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey
In car sound levels

Yesterday, driving along in my new car I thought the scenery was passing by the picture windows quite slowly ...... and marvelled at how quiet the FullFat is with is laminated side windows compared to my 2007 RRS, which was hardly a noisey car, and then I looked down at the TFT flatscreen virtual dash Shocked There is less noise in the FFRR at 85 than there was in the Sport at 50, engine noise is just a muted hum and there is hardly any wind or tyre noise - who needs a Phantom or a Bentley when you can have a FullFat! Oh and I'm still getting 28mpg in local driving so I'm a very happy bunny looking down on the plebs in their Hondas and Toyotas - It's great to feel like a plutocrat again! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Cod, I can assure you I saved a fortune by buying a run-out 2010 FFRR, anyway there are hardly any 2010MY RRS's TDv8's in colours that I like in the dealer network. Also when I went looking it had been discontinued so no chance of a factory order either (not that I could afford the £63k for a new one!). After 2 RRS I was ready for a model change anyway and after 2 virtually fault free RRS's I would have felt really peeved if I had bought a troublesome TDv6. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

i know where you are coming from with regards to changing model, i always buy something different when i change cars - lifes too short to fit all the ones i want it! (except three imprezas on the trot, but then they were so damned addictive and more expensive to run than a cocaine habbit!)
i didnt realise yours was the V8, five months in with my V6 and i can report all is hunky dory - it is not loaded with extras - less chance of going wrong i thought!!!
cheers

The ease with which it picks up it's skirts and flies really makes my old TD6 FFRR seem like a tractor thanks to "The Ultimate Driving Machine's" wheezy and rattly straight 6 lump. The TDv8 in 2010MY tune feels a lot faster in real life than the figures suggest too. It also makes the much loved and recently departed TDv8 RRS seem rather agricultural too ...................................... 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
