As title realy , im selling D3 and RRS TDV6 decat front pipes for £76 all inc deliverd to UK.

They are made from 409 stainless steel which is a mix of mild steel and stainless.
The same stuff landrover use to produce there exhausts.

Its a straight swap no modification to the car or mountings.

Would imagine that it would be ok without a remap as it wouldnt effect the AFR's that much but would give a bit more performance as there would be less resistance for the exhaust gases.

I may be wrong tho as not a proffesional tuner. Sure Bellautos will let us know tho

Anyone know how easy these are to fit on a RRS yourself? I mean are the bolts all easily accesible?

Normally when you remove the cat froma TD engine you are recommended to also remove the EGR and Lamda probe otherwise you are sending info to the ECU that it cannot use and it can cause problems. This was what I was led to believe when I had the cat on my TDi300 Defender fail a few years back. Removing the cat, EGR and the associated electronics made the car run more smoothly and it used less fuel. I'm not sure of the MOT regs for modern cars, but my Defender is 14 years old and at every MOT sails through the emissions test with no problems without the cat. I promptly undid the saved fuel situation by fitting aggressive mud tyres to it  2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

On my previous car removing the front CAT also threw the engine managment light on.

I assume that there is a CAT further back too? So may not have issues with MOT.

Would it make much difference removing the front CAT without removing the other one too?

To confirm at the moment the MOT does not need a cat test on a diesel so removing it wont make the car fail.

Cheers Pete It wasnt a diesel, it was Mitsubishi Evo

Are there other cats or is this the only one? Sorry RRS's are new to me!

Ahh that explanes it then, pertols are all moniterd with oxygen sensors.


re the other cats, on most v6 diesels rrs there is only 1 cat, depending on the year model etc some may have a DPF also which is different to a cat.
