You are pressing the brake pedal when you try this, aren't you?as it has an interlock. Or if you are on a slope, the park pin may be under some load. so will be stiff to move lever. RRS TDV8 Buck Blue (no, not now in my dreams). ..........D3 TDclankety clankV6 ............BMW 318i

yes footbrake is pressed but it is on a slight incline. Do you think if i get some able bodies to push fron front it might release!

Yep,it should do,but you'll obviously have to leave the foot off the brake, til your very burly helpers Laughing have pushed it uphill a little, and the load is taken off the pin.Thumbs Up RRS TDV8 Buck Blue (no, not now in my dreams). ..........D3 TDclankety clankV6 ............BMW 318i

Malaysia 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Chawton White

Start your engine, place your hand on the gear selector lever and apply the foot brakes.
You will "feel" a slight "knocking" movement in the gear selector lever. This is the shift interlock solenoid being energised so that the selector lever may be moved from the 'P' position.

If you do not feel anything then it could mean there is a failure of the interlock solenoid and you cannot shift out of P. Malaysia Boleh!
