Hi can anyone tell me what the Webasto unit fitted infront of the battery under the bonnet is please?It has alloy flexi pipes coming from it.When I can home tonight short journey pulled into garage smelt something burning opened bonnet saw smoke coming from it and making a noise, then it stopped.It's a tdv6 2.7 hse on 05

Sounds like the fuel burning heater... Do a search on that and you should find threads that tell you how it works and what its for!

Td, that is indeed the FBH that you found, it cuts in automatically when the outside temperature falls below +5c. Normally smoke comes out under the front of the car, not out of the bonnet though. It runs for a little while after you have stopped, it is programmed to do that. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
