United States 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Rimini Red
TSB 501012 - Water Ingress Passenger Compartment

Hi,

Does anoyone have a copy of this TSB and does it apply to RRS ?

I ask because my drivers-side (left!) rear door seems to leak air when driving, sounds like the window is wound down a little or the door isn't closed properly... but they are...

Thanks !

Hi acowx

Are you sure it's the rear door generating the noise and not the tailglass or tailgate. If either of these are not sealing fully it might be the source.

On mine I found the rubber tailgate seal not pushed fully onto the body all the way round. Also the tailglass was not being pulled down hard enough onto the tailgate to seal fully. By putting the car in the garage with the garage lights on and sitting in the luggage area the tailglass gaps appeared as streams of light.

The tailgate leaks were visible after driving dirty roads when the suction at the back of the car pulled the dirt in and left deposits at the points where the seal wasn't touching the body.

BTW neither of these "leaks" let water in.
