I don't know if it is the " Contact Group" setting in the iphone but I am not getting all the contacts that are on the phone to be read in the car, when I had the BBPearl I had to copy all contacts to the SIM to get the car to read them all. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Hi Tim
if you use MS Office outlook then all your contacts are stored there through Itunes, they work with each other.
In MS office outlook you can modify any contacts, groups, numbers ect.
just food for thought Thumbs Up

Tim, I think theSIM may be a red herring. I have zero contacts on my iPhone SIM and they still show up on the car. However, an awful lot of them are missing ( I will investigate further tomorrow - too much fun for one day already).

Tim,

The Land Rover system only shows the default number for any given contacton the iPhone, so if for example you have a name with more than 1 number for them (home/mobile/work) then it will only display the first one.

The only way's around this is to change the first number of each contact to the number you are most likely to call them on, or setting up multiple contacts for the same person i.e. "wife mobile"/"wife work" etc.... Not the kind of solution I was looking for by a long shot but the only one's that seems to work. Sad

Bullet Thumbs Up

The Parrot integrated radio and phone system that I have in my Defender is more user friendly than the 2007MY system in the RRS! It manages to sort out phone numbers from email addresses no problems! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

It takes a bit of getting used to, but apart from one thing it works very well and sound quality is excellent considering how small the unit really is. The one problem I have had is when the phone is connected via the iPhone connector to the unit - I don't know if it is my antenna on the Defender but when ever the iphone sends out that pulsing signal that normally doesn't break in on things, it does in my Def. when the phone is connected by B/T I don't get it. I suspect the antenna connection is too close to the phone. The noise cancellation system totally removes the background noise on the phone so peopel don't even know I am in the car. In the 90 they fitted the mic system in the roof lining above the mirror and those few people I have called on it say the phone audio is crystal clear. No problems reading the contacts and dialing numbers is the usually easy Parrot way. Took me a while to figure out how to turn off the audio side of it when I didn't want to listen to anything - the power on and off buttons are also the green and red buttons that are also the dial and hang-up keys for the phone.
I have four speakers in the 90 and with my old radio (a Kenwood) I could adjust the fader/balance front rear and side to side but with the Parrot I can only do side to side, but all four speakers are wired in. The connector that connects the iphone to the system/charger is a little fragile - I managed to bend one of the end pins a bit which makes it awkward to disconnect the phone from the wire on occassions - 7.5/10! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I have a Parrot 3200 in the Poxymobile and it works brilliantly.... never used to automatically sync the contacts on my old Nokia, but got an iPhone a couple of weeks ago and it syncs them every time. Voice control and everything - brilliant Thumbs Up

Yup Thumbs Up same here, Parrot 3200 and Iphone works all the time with syncs! Not bad considering my Parrot predates the 3G S iphone by about a year!
