Thought that someone had posted earlier, might have been James @ CHPR, that this was disabled until it becomes a requirement in 201?.

No legal reason why not I wouldn't have thought, given Audi have made a big thing of sending out all their new cars with their LED DRLs blazing and calling it a "feature"

Possibly... known fact that use of DRLs does impact fuel consumption.
