LED side lights on the MY10

Have just taken delivery of a MY10 TDV8'Very Happy'..........from the outside, apart from the grills, its indistinguishable from my previous car, especially as its the same colour. Obviously, I have not original colour desires!

One question that the dealer was unable to answer was, the ability to automatically have the LED side lights activated when driving the car, much as they do in the colder climates of Europe.

I assume there is a 'soft' switch or connector needing activated?

Anybody know the answer'Question' .

There is absolutely no substitute for a genuine lack of preparation.

TDV8 HSE MY10 with pretty much everything including a vase of daffs on the back shelf, tropical fish collection in the centre console, hamsters in the spare tyre and finally sheep on the passenger seats.....for weight distribution, what else??

.

Another member reported their dealer wasn't sure how to do this too!

While I'm not sure of the actual process the dealer should follow, I do know that they are able to do it.

Does anyone know what the actual dealer process is? We could then feed it back to them via the forum, as maybe it's going to become a frequently asked question Thumbs Up

Thought that someone had posted earlier, might have been James @ CHPR, that this was disabled until it becomes a requirement in 201?.
Then they would be enabled prior to required date by dealers.

I could be completely wrong. Whistle

Would make more sense to enable them at build, unless there is some obscure law preventing it. Confused

No legal reason why not I wouldn't have thought, given Audi have made a big thing of sending out all their new cars with their LED DRLs blazing and calling it a "feature" Wink

This is what I'd referred to as posted earlier:

http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/post237423.html#237423

Would having them set at build as DRL increase the published fuel consumption figures by a tiny bit?

Maybe LR were trying to keep their green creditenials. Wink

Possibly... known fact that use of DRLs does impact fuel consumption.
