Even though I personally think Climate change is B Censored x, it can only be good news if we make engines etc more efficient.

It does make you wonder though............if all cars become "too" efficient, i.e. meet the less than X Co2 wise, where does all the revenue come from for the Muppets in power.............oops Embarassed oh yes I forget, DIRECT taxation as opposed to something that is purely STEALTH and shrouded in pure spin aka Climate change. Scotland 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 Autobiography Stornoway Grey

Well when I bought my RRS they told me there was a payment in there that offset the carbon for the first 45000 miles of the cars life. It was 145 quid I think. So by that reasoning then I (and other LR, RR,RRS and Freelander) owners shouldnt have to pay the 405 road tax for till the car gets to 45k!!! And if it only costs 145 to offset for 45k miles then whats stealthy about 405 quid a year towards climate change. Basically a "if you can afford one of these then you can afford to help my expense account payments" tax!!! Rant over!!! Whistle Current, M135i in Estoril Blue with more extras than the cast of Ben Hur.

It's alright, they'll be back to normal shortly, calling it a pile of Censored with no offroad ability. Too much time sniffing diff oil, that's their problem

As for CO2 and road tax, I look forward to the day we find ourselves looking to trade in against these next generation hybrids, only to be offered a pittance for our current cars as they're too polluting. Thumbs Up

All consideration appart, that will be my next car. Very happy with my '07 RRS but I've always said that, in time, I would keep it until the same car comes out hybrid. Range Rover Vogue ‘17 TDV6
