Fairly common. To reset you do a soft reset which involves using the key to lock/unlock/lock/unlock - this resets the system. Yours however has a problem and the best thing to do is when the fault next occurs get LR assist out straight away - do not reset the car, get them to transport to your LR dealer who will then diagnose the proble. Betting is it will be a faulty ECU, clogged up EGR valve or clogged up filter. Do a search as this is talked about in plenty of threads. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

2 valves its a tdv8 , they in betweeen the 2 cylinder heads , i had a look at the computer when it was tested one was stuck at 4.71 % open and the other stuck at 17% open , they would not move either way no matter what position the accelerator pedal was on , they said it was a common problem and lr had plenty of replacement valves in stock !
