to add, you have to understand that in order to keep pricing low (and I mean to stop a RRS costing you £100k each) they need volumes up. This is achieved by selling into more markets - you need volume to get pricing down.

Its clear to me that LR pricing in the UK is higher intentionally, however I accept the reasons and make my buying decision with this in mind - I guess you really do the same

I think we are slightly off topic here but my gripe is yes with NULAB and the EU as it is also to blame on the cost of goods in general in our part of the world it was just an observation that LR's pricing is as it is, however one thing i noticed being advertised whilst i was there last month is that the RRS has the best residuals 4 years running in its class

The simple answer is if you're not happy with the pricing then vote with your feet.

I for one, will be replacing our RRS with another one once our excessive duty system is abolished.

Another thing that a high initial price of a new model does is (hopefully!) mean the residuals of the previous version is maintained rather than plummeting through the floor as soon as the facelifted model is launched.
Land Rover are passed masters at racking up the price of facelifted models (they call it range re-alignment)
