Pete - sorry if I gave you (or anyone) the impression that what you do is pointless. I'm sure you do lots of useful things for cars - some of which I may even discover / use if I stay attached to this forum. It's just that the "unrouting" of gases in that manner - for seemingly little reward seems a bit pointless to me? Dontcha think?

I still don't know what all of that "54 68 61 6e 6b 73 20 66 6f 72 " stuff was mind. I've been mad for flipping years, absolutely years, over the edge for yonks.

Pete,

I have a RRS 2005 and a EGR problem (so I am being told). The dealer says the EGR needs to be replaced and I am considering taking your route...using your EGR Blanking Kit.

Is this something I can do myself..? Garage told me they have to lift the complete carriage to replace the EGR's....is that correct and do I need that also when blanking off...?

Thanks in advance!

HI Snowski, what are your cars symptoms ?

Yes the procedure is the same for the RRS or D3.

I agree a fiddley job but not hard to do.

A question Pete if I may..

Looking at your kits and the instructions for fitting, I presume the EGR valves say in place and you blank the two ends of the pipe you remove?

How long would it take me roughly to fit your kit? I'm quite good with the spanners Smile Cheers Paul

rrs2010 as long as you have a small socket set and plenty of joints it'll take about 2 hours. It can be done much quicker with practise Thumbs Up Bodsys Brake Bible

Pete

For us close enough to York to warrant a day out, what is your cost for doing this conversion?

Cheers

Pete
