Is this another example of the media getting it's teeth into something and whipping it out of control, or was the prank realy that offensive. After all it was recorded and then deemed suitible for air by the producer/censor. I'm not saying it was right what Ross and Brand did but I saw the interview with the guy at the centre of this and he was a bit "surprised" by the media circus that was now camped at his door. The questions put to him were all very leading as well, and fair play, he was having none of it. His Grand Daughter however, well, lets just say she's seen an oppertunity and........ tomorrows Sun has it all. Speed Limits! not where I live!

It was wrong and the producer should get his/her marching orders. How would you feel if someone was broadcasting to the nation the fact that your granddaughter had been shagged by someone. Maybe I have old fashioned morals but a gentleman never boasts about his 'conquests' 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Er...Brand....Gentleman...., no hear what your saying, I'm sure if someone rang Ross up whilst on his show and said, "I'm boneing your daughter" I'm sure he might get a little upset by it all. The point for me is that it was'nt until a week later and the media needing a fresh story did this start going mad, what i'm getting at here is how the media can lead the public like sheep, but they have been doing that for a long time. Too true Steve. Ross has a hate relationship with jouranlists - he once said something like ' I'm worth 10 of any journalist' and of course the press have wanted their revenge - looks like they have it. Brand is not a gentleman but we shouldn't all lower our standards to his. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

I don't think what they did was wise but there were only 2 (or 4?) complaints from the estimated 400000 listeners, and those were for his swearing.

I find Ross annoying on his TV show, he never lets anyone talk, he's always talking over them, I get really angry and start shouting at the TV "SHUT UP!"

Unfortunately if the BBC fired Ross and Brand I'd bet my bottom dollar they would walk into just as well paid job with the independent broadcasters. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

its an interesting one - personally I would be mighty if I was at the sharp end of their pranks, however they apologised. The whole thing has been blown way out of proportion imo. |

Brand is a vile little man and we should be glad that he has been shown up now for what he is. Never let him back on our screens again. As for Ross, he will benefit from being brought down a peg or two. I say fire him - let him go where he likes. Then, and only then, will he learn a lessen. I've been mad for flipping years, absolutely years, over the edge for yonks. |

This was all over the World Service whilst I was in the car this morning then again on BBC America.... all it made me want to do is see exactly was left on the phone message that was so bad.... but then again it was the BBC Radio 2 crowd complaining wasnt it ... that was my dads channel after-all (but then I listen to World Service ) .... Alway thought Mr Brand was really Jo Brand in man drag anyway and as for Ross he has always been obnoxious..... anyway its the BBC not channel 5/4 Brit across the Pond
