I would re-open / close the bonnet and relock the RRS to see if fault clears itself - seems to self clear a lot ot the odd problems... like a PC reboot....

MAW is right - the sensor on the bonnet is a little sensitive and a hard slam of the bonnet often sorts the problem out. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

Yes mine is the same, if I don't slam it shut from a height the sensor reports that is open via the dashboard even though it isn't!

Also check that the near/ passenger side (in UK and RHD Cars) safety catch is fully engaged. Twice recently I have been driving quite fast and noticed the bonnet lifting on the left side after I thought I had fully closed it.
This was a problem with a few very early cars - it won't register on the warning panel as bonnet open either!

Recently I have also had the boot door warning me that it was open when it wasn't, and neither was the upper section. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW
