iPhone Contacts on RRS

Just got myself an iPhone (held out as long as i could!) Twisted Evil
Connects via Bluetooth to the RRS fine but the contacts appear on the green screen in a different order to the one they are in the iPhone and in Outlook - seem to basically be in order of surname first, first name . .eh . second. Confused
I assume it's something that needs to be altered in Outlook but a have that set to first name first, surname second (and thats how it appears on the iPhone too) so any ideas??? Wink

VA, I sussed it! The best way to do it is enter the full name in the first name coloumn (either via Outlook or the iPhone) as you want it to appear in the car. For example (stay with me here); Very Annoyed if entered as it would normally be (ie Very as first name and Annoyed as surname) would be displayed as Annoyed Very on the green screen but if Very Annoyed was entered all in the first name coloumn it will appear correctly.

I know, I know, I need to get out more! Embarassed Wink

And sorting your address book in Outlook is easy as it's excel based so :

a) export your address book to a new file and create a back-up copy as well (this is very important, para see f Mr. Green )
b) open the new file using excel and insert a new column BEFORE the Christian/first name column
c) copy the entire Surname column using copy and paste into the newly created column
d) delete the old surname column
e) import the file back into outlook as a different address book
f) if it doesn't work then import the back-up copy of the address book into outlook (because I haven't tested this out yet and I'm about to go for a long weekend of off-roading which is more important than sorting out phone contacts lists Mr. Green )

Outlook creates the export file with a huge number of columns and some of them appear to be copies of each other, so you may have to experiment to find which surname column works
