Cyprus 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black
Rear heated seats

Is there any way for the driver to be aware of the position of those 2 rear switches... i mean whether are on/off, maybe through a message or a signal anywhere in the dashboard, screen, etc... I was driving the rrs for 10 days whithout notice that the rear heat was switched on by my child... worst of all: day exter. temperature 35C!!! RRS TDV8 HSE Java Black

No there is no indication in the front that the rear seat heaters are on, unlike the front seat heaters. You could remove the fuse or disconnect them under the seat. As a last resort you could chop off the child's hands.......... but that is a bit drastic. I would imagine that out in Cyprus you don't have many times when you need the seat heaters so removal of the fuse might be the best option, even if it disables the fronts as well. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I've just checked mine and they default to 'off' each time the ignition is switched off, the front seats wont even switch on without the engine running.
