i agree its not good for a £60k + car.

some poor sods at the factory have probably been trying to work out whats making the noise for 16-18 months and got nowhere!

the vibration is due to your vehicle fitted with a 'non-damped' steering rack. the only way to stop it would be to replace your steering rack with a 'damped' version. not cheap!!
