I use JAS Land Rover Specialist in Pocklington in York. They are very good. They do all the servicing on my car and they can update the electronic service history on the LR website too. Probably not too far from you. |

Their prices are good too. When my car needed the 7 year service with all the belts etc I got 3 quotes , 1 from main dealer, 1 from Green Oval and JAS. JAS were cheapest and I’m glad I chose them. Green Oval were more expensive than the main dealer and when I told them this they didn’t seem to care. The only thing with JAS they are always busy so you need to book services well in advance |

Thanks mate - well I have warranty until June although I thought I did but they’ve emailed back to say the manifold is not covered under the 4 star agreement , but it states exhaust inlet and exhaust valves under engine , please see attached . Are they trying to have my pants down here.

I too have a warranty but an aftermarket one with warranty direct and they don’t cover the manifold either. I have had quite a few warranty claims and all have been successful. JAS did all the calling to them to get them approved. Another reason why I use them. Who is your warranty with? |

I’ve got extended warranty with the dealership where I purchased the car - Eclipse Car Sales in Winchester they have a warranty program which is underwritten by another company.

It’s worth giving JAS a call to get a rough idea on costs to replace the manifold then ring round a few other specialists for more quotes if the warranty people won’t cover the manifold |

Just had a flick through my warranty policy and they class the manifold as part of the exhaust system hence why it’s not covered on my warranty either. How do you know it’s the manifold that’s at fault? |

Had a smoke test done and found a small crack on the drivers side.

The warranty only covers engine internals - the manifolds are internal components, they're external.

Yes, typo on my part. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

Just had both sides go on mine. £1400, luckily my warranty (RAMP) did cover it |
