I don't know about fixed but there's a guy on here who advertises to swap your "worn" key for a new one. Basically I think he takes the circuit board and hey bad out of your old key and puts it in an aftermarket key fob.

If it’s just the casing you can do it yourself. New copies & OE fobs are available on eBay and you just transfer the internals over (I’ve just done mine). If however you need an additional key then RRUK on here is your man. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue. |

...yeah he mentioned he only refurbs the key fob casing and doesn't touch the pcb board RRS 2.7 HSE Stornoway Grey
