Hi guys, I'm new to the forum and looking to buy my first rrs in the coming weeks!
I'm now based in SA having moved here 5 years ago and currently run an old disco 2 V8 workhorse.
My question to the group is what would be the detrimental effects on a vehicle that has been parked up under cover on its own wheels for 5 or 6 years?
I don't suppose this question is rrs specific but I've found one for sale over here in exactly this condition. A 2011 supercharged with just under 30,000 miles on the clock. Most of these done in the first year of ownership then parked up till 2018 when it was bought by the new owner who has used it very little.
FSH till it was parked up but nothing since.
From google I gather that old engine oil left like this can be an issue as well as a empty or half empty fuel tank and obviously the battery.
Anyone had any experience of a vehicle been laid up for a long period?
