Maybe I am wrong but looking at the age of your car and if they've never been done, the front lower wishbones would be my first choice. I think the give away is, if you drive very slowly and dab the brakes you will hear the knock if they are worn. 2010 RRS, TDV8

I have tried that and they're not knocking. I know they're on borrowed time, but milage wise, 72k, and no mention of wear on the recent MOT, I'm optimistic that a cheaper cure can be found. If not, then I will bite the bullet and have them done, safe in the knowledge that the drop links will have been done.

I remember when I had mine done,, I didn't think it was too bad but thought I could hear a wheel bearing grumbling,,, after having mine done and both front bearings the difference was amazing, it was like driving a different car. 2010 RRS, TDV8

I did mine last summer whilst doing the front ARB bushes. I used the Meyle ones from Advanced Factors, around £17/ea IIRC. 2010 TDV8 - current - my first RRS, loving it so far...... 2005 Cayenne S - handling defied physics and what a sound, so sod the mpg! 1995 Disco TDI- surprisingly reliable, shame about the peeling dash & other trim Lots of other non 4X4's in between times......... |

Makes you wonder with quality and price £6.00 each for S***part one's or £30.00 each for genuine overpriced L/R one's, at £17.00 each would think the Meyle one's are a good compromise as certainly happy with quality etc. of there lower front arms. Although saying that do have pair of genuine L/R one's laid here if I ever need them.
