United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey
Hello Fatty...

So the time has come to hang up the keys of the L320 and pick up the keys of an L405.

I've loved my RRS since I bought it a couple of years ago. I've enjoyed every minute of maintaining it, improving it and keeping it in good nick.

Her new owner is collecting tomorrow and I shall be very sad to see her go.

And this weekend I shall be picking this 4.4 litre V8 up. I can't wait Mr. Green

Hi Steve, yeah I've been AWOL a bit recently because of family life. My wife gave birth to our second daughter about 6 weeks ago so things are a little hectic at the moment with two kids under 2 years old and me working full time. I'm not getting the luxury of browsing and posting on the forum too often any more! Hopefully it'll settle down with time.

It's not from Salisbury, but Solihull. About 5 mins away from the JLR factory where it, and all of our RRS' were built. I know it's stupid, but there is something in it concerning buying the car from where it was 'born'.

More pics to follow when I collect it on the weekend. And even though I've signed up over at fullfatrr.com , I shall still be hanging around on here and the disco site when I can! Kev

I was going to buy a full fat v8 diesel when I changed my 62 plate L320 diesel but the dealer talked me out of it and said I would hate the body roll after a sport and pushed me towards another sport.
As it turned out I ended up in a SVR so not even a diesel and it's a awesome car but still see full fats and think I should of at least test driven one.

Maybe next one will be a full fat !

That looks lovely and I'm interested to hear your thoughts on the drive after a sport. 2017 SVR. SVO Scafell grey Ebony interior

Those who can afford to run two cars, having a fatty + something properly sporty seem to have the best of all worlds. I couldn't live with an SVR personally and whenever I see one I always think "awww, bless you, you could have afforded at least a basic fatty but you foolishly chose not to!" cos I am simply so deliriously happy lolloping around in mine.

Yes, you guessed it, I am very middle aged! Rolling with laughter

By comparison, when I was in my 30s there is NO WAY I would have wanted a fatty as my only car. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso

To be honest the SVR is a awesome car and I love it but the power and noise that you get soon becomes something you get use to and most of the time it gets driven round like a luxury car and not the sporty rocket that it was for the first few months of ownership which makes you think maybe I should of just bought a diesel !

I've looked at changing for a full fat but after only 8 months of ownership I would loose far to much money so will stick with the SVR for a few more years. 2017 SVR. SVO Scafell grey Ebony interior

The thing is ilard - I am in my 30s. 35 to be precise Laughing

However, we do have another car in the house. A little BMW 2 series active tourer (a Mini in BMW clothing). It is the 220d variant and goes like a rocket!

....one more sleep Very Happy Kev
