Diesel Leak under engine

Hi Guys and Gals

As per title

Was doing a bit of work during this lockdown on my RRS, got low power mode come up on dash so thought i'd start her up for a bit to recharge battery.
I do know these motors don't like sitting there idling for any length of time so i only had it ticking over for about 5 minutes.
Stepped out of car and noticed a small river of fluid spreading on the concrete sloping drive i have from under the car, dipped fingertip in and could smell it was diesel.
I had cambelt/oil pump/water pump/gearbox flush/all filters changed about 2 months ago.

My question is could the fuel filter not have been seated correctly if that is a "thing", seems to be a lot of fuel for it to be anything else, the whole underside of the rear of the engine and the gearbox looked quite wet so it clearly has been occurring whilst driving also.

Any ideas appreciated

I had an issue with non genuine fuel filter not sealing properly. Fitted a genuine and problem solved. Drain underneath can also work loose or snap if over tightened.

I would give it all a good clean and then try to see where it's coming from. Kev

Yeah thanks Kev, will need to get underneath and remove the covers and the heat shield to reveal the fuel filter, then start her up and see where it's coming from 2015 L494 SDV6 3.0 HSE Dynamic

Update:

Turns out it was the tiny o-ring on the water-in-fuel sensor attached to the top of the fuel filter, my indie just popped the plastic plug that comes with the filter in it's place, he said it happens a lot and many RRS's are running around the same, will see about getting the o-ring or a new sensor when it comes to my service........in short, leak stopped Very Happy 2015 L494 SDV6 3.0 HSE Dynamic
