I have been in the electrical / electronic business all my working life,,,, and I would never attempt to re-solder an IC,,, soo easy to flood multiple joints if you don't have all the correct kit. Leave it to the people who know their s*#@. 2010 RRS, TDV8

Thanks all, there are several companies who overhaul the PCB etc for a reasonable cost. I'll post once it's done with results.

I sent the instrument cluster away to cluster repairs uk, just got it back, refitted and no faults.
