Hi everyone, just a quick question. I know it’s normal to have tinted rear windows, but were front windows ever an option? My RRS was originally owned and registered as a Land Rover company vehicle. Could that explain it? Current: 2010 RRS 3.6 TDV8 HSE

You normally find that front windows are tinted to the legal max anyway - anything darker is technically illegal.

Land Rover management vehicles are exactly the same as what you or I can buy from a dealership so it won’t have been fitted by JLR. Some people do fit very lightly tinted film to the front side glasses but the traffic police can (and do) use a special light transmission tool to check if you are legal or not if they have cause. My sisters RRS had what to me looked too dark a tint on the front side glasses but we were stopped by plod and it was measured and found to just be legal.she has been stopped several times to have light transmission checks done, annoys her immensely. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
