United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Baltic Blue
Diagnostic Tool

Hi
Im hoping someone can help... Im getting a HDC error on my range rover sport 2006 after about a minute of driving, it says special programs not available then a load of other lights come on. Ive tried changing the battery cause I know that they're sensitive to voltage changes, this didn't fix the problem. Ive also ordered a brake switch, this hasnt come yet. In the meantime Ive ordered an icarsoft 930, it wasn't particularity expensive and I know its not the best one to get. But im hoping it can shed some light on whats happening, Ive got a feeling its one of the ABS sensors. Because ive never used one before I was wondering when you plug it in, im assuming before you switch the engine on. Also if the car is just sat idling in the driveway the warning lights doesnt come on, will this make a difference to what it picks up?
Thanks for any help
Regards
Mike

plug it in.
turn the ignition on.
read the fault codes.

these cars, tend to store a lot of fault codes.
You probably want to write them all down maybe, (except U codes which you can ignore)
Then clear the codes
Take it for a drive until the HDC error appears.
Then go back home and read the codes again. These codes may now help you find the problem
