Didn't have it long enough to get an oil & filter change so can't help I'm afraid.
Had a good chat with Harold from A&H about my repair saga, he seemed like a decent honest bloke and very, very helpful. They charge £60 per hr so I would estimate the cost would be this plus parts?
I managed to explain to the garage where I bought mine of the financial impact if they gave me my money back plus the money they have already spent at JLR trying to fix it and they seem to have gone along with it as were so far in now. I've requested that they move the car out of JLR next week if they still haven't fixed it and to put it into AHL Engineering as an Indy would give the fix more time and effort than them.
Fingers crossed, and for now I still have the TDV8.
Let us know how you get on with AHL and how they performed please.

I will be there on the morning of the 24th, for a while you wait oil & filter change, they use Morris Multivis C1 ADT 5W30 fully synthetic, I have read up on this and it seems to be perfect for the engine.
I will let you know how I get on and my thoughts on the place and people..
Really hope that you get yours sorted out.. ===========================================

Update as promised...

Went to AHL Engineering for the oil change,
Angus is a great guy, a bit of an anorak, but I am more than happy he has the knowledge
to take care of my RRS oil change done from the top on this occasion, will be from underneath
later in the year when I have the dreaded 7 year service done, they are a little bit off the beaten
track but easy enough to find, oil and filter done for just under £120..

They do the 7 year service,
Plug - oil drain
Washer
Kit - drive belt
Belt - timing
Kit - inj pump belt
Water Pump
Oil - transmission (75w/90)
Filter - engine oil - element
Oil - differential (check and top us as appropriate)
Plug
Pan - transmission oil check & report.
Filter- odour and particles
Screen wash
Engine oil c1 5w-30 wss-m2c934-b
Fluid - hydraulic (check and top us as appropriate)
Oil - lubricant
Filter (non haz)
Element - fuel filter
Filter - air cleaner.

but they will change the belt pulleys as well as the belts,
apparently there is a little oil seal that they will change..
they need the car for 3 days, and the price is a little under £1,200..

about £400 less than the dealer but still several hundred more than some of you guys a quoting..

Happy to go to them in September unless others can suggest as good an independent that is more
cost efficient.. ===========================================

Appreciate you taking the time out to update on your visit to AHL. When I spoke to Harold he did mention that Angus was the "expert" which is supported from the conversation you had with him. Took a drive there last week as mine was potentially going to be towed there and I was concerned that the rural location may cause an issue for the recovery driver - if you avoid coming in via Lenham its not that tight. Looked a decent enough set up from what I could see from the gates.
IMO the 7 yr service does seem to be a little overpriced for an indie who charge £60 per hr labour- understand they'll change the pulleys however the rest is BAU to them and they should rattle through that list relatively quickly. I've checked through my service history and the previous owner paid £1.2k when he had his done at a dealer a couple of years ago. I couldn't tell from the paperwork whether they changed the pulleys though as they never put as much detail on them as they should......

Update on my 3 month "repair" - Harwoods have now come back and advised that it needs a new instrument cluster - how its taken this long to figure that out I'll never know. Garage i bought it from are forking out for it - so they have spent in excess of £5k with a host of new modules fitted FOC to me. Hopefully this does resolve the warning messages once and for all and I get it back soon.
