From a purely practical point of view, my previous Cars calipers seized after 5 years with corrosion on the piston and they looked rusty as hell. I fitted new calipers but painted them gloss black (Because that’s what I had at the time) and they lasted 9 years and 100,000 miles and were still good when I moved the car on. I can only assume it’s because I kept them clean and/or the dirt/salt washed off the gloss a little easier. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

Yeah my factory Jaguar brembos are painted grey and brake dust never sticks to them! Amazing paint they used.

I like bare aluminum look, rotary wire brush clean, clear coated and Gtechniq nano aplaid. two years later they look the same. easy clean with power washer .
