How do you rate your air con?

Hi guys,

As it's been hot last couple of days, my climate control has been working overtime.
I can feel it's blowing cold but not exactly freezing cold.
It's set at 20 and the blower is running a few rate of nots but it's not having a massive effect.
Car is a 2014 RRS AB.
Is this normal or worth a recharge?

Mine is a 2015 and I run the a.c. all the time and it has no problem cooling down the interior on a hot (SCOTTISH) day, you might need a gas recharge - where I live we have had some lovely days lately and up to 22 showing on the external temperature and it’s been quick to cool the inside, even set at 19 it is fine, any lower and it is too cold 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Hi guess

Guess a re-gas then. It's blowing cold so I don't think any leaks? From what I read cars loose around 10 -15% gas a years so four years old looking at a loss of 40 - 60% could explain lack of performance

turn it down to 19 or 19.5°

make sure the passenger side isn't significantly different.

turn the fan speed down a bit once you have been driving a while.

The automatic system is good on the old models

20? Well it won`t feel cold set to 20.....I`ve always turned my temp (on all cars) to coolest setting, usually 16 and then the AC is lovely and cold. Steve.

I usually set mine to 20 for normal weather. If it's warm then 16 or LO until it's cooled down a bit then back to 20. Means the fan's not running noisily all the time. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I set to 20°, a/c on and 'auto' all year. When it needs cool air, it blows cold air and it is chilly.

My wife, on the other hand is like Rick Wakeman on the controls in her Disco 4 - temperature up, then temperature down and fan off, fan up and then shut or open a few vents, turn temp down to 16°, wait five minutes and back to 26°. It's the same with the central heating in the house... Confused

The mobile aircon company local to me is called "Stiff Nips"
