2009 V8 HSE - banging noise

Hello all, been lurking for a while and found some great help / tips on here.

OK so now I have a problem which I hope you experienced RRS owners can guide me on. This morning whilst driving home my RRS developed the most horrid banging noise from the front o/s wheel area. I immediately stopped but every time I pulled away it returned (loud enough for people on the other side of the road to stop & look!). So after a couple minutes sat there I reversed back (a car had now parked in front of me) and drove off - noise stopped. Have since taken it for a drive and its very intermittent BUT seems to be when I turn hard right (mini roundabout etc) but not all the time. Its a dreadful noise which remains when I pop it into N and roll along. It varies with speed but not as direct as I might imagine.

You can imagine all the hours going through my mind but welcome any experience / thoughts / horror stories!!!

Big Cry

I have just had a noise coming from the front that I thought was the off side but after a lot of looking we found my front prop was knackered don’t think it was a bang noise but depends on what you call a bang it as making a noise and above 50 it made a rumble noise

*UPDATE*

After the intermittent noise became worse to the point of breakdown / recovery on a Friday night we have an answer from my local Independent Specialist. During the latter part of the week whilst no noise I did find that occasionally the brake pedal went 'long' resulting in little / no brakes!!! A second pump on the pedal and all good but it got to the point where it was too often to safely drive on!

2 minutes at Indep this morning and diagnosed as N/S hub bearling collapse - the lateral movement on the disc being enough to ease the pads back hence the long pedal. Booked in for e new hub assembly and hopefully back on the road later this week. Whilst there also opted for new compressor as suspension faults / wonky stance have become too much!

Now awaiting the bill Big Cry
